The Rule
Mass Audubon's property regulations for Drumlin Farm say dog walking and horseback riding are prohibited, and ask you to leave all animals and pets at home, with service animals welcome. Mass Audubon publishes a Service Animal Statement on its admission page.
Why Drumlin Farm Has No Dogs
Drumlin Farm is a wildlife sanctuary and a working livestock farm. Its barns hold sheep, goats, chickens, pigs and cows, and its exhibits give a permanent home to rehabilitated hawks, owls, a red fox and other native animals. Mass Audubon's rules also ban releasing animals and feeding wildlife. A no-pets rule keeps both the farm animals and the wild ones undisturbed.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome. For details on what Mass Audubon counts as a service animal, read its Service Animal Statement, linked from Mass Audubon's admission and access page, or call the front desk at 781-259-2200.
Don't Leave Your Dog in the Car
Mass Audubon does not address dogs left in vehicles, but a parked car heats up fast, even on mild days. If your dog is with you, plan a different outing.
